The Diabetic Epidemic

Diabetes is a major public health crisis that has reached epidemic proportions globally.

Throughout the world, it is estimated that every 30 seconds one leg is amputated
due to diabetes.

In one study, research showed that following an amputation, up to 50% of people with diabetes will die within two years.

Education, early detection and early treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD) can reduce the risk of amputation by as much as 75%.

The annual medical costs for the management of diabetic foot disease in the U.S. is approximately $13 billion.

Poor and compromised circulatory health is the leading cause of diabetic complications ranging from cardiac arrest to lower leg ulcers and amputations.

There is an urgent need for non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive strategies to curb the rising prevalence and impact of this disease through prevention, early detection/intervention, and products that promote a healthier, more active lifestyle.
